Hi,

I use AcdSee3.2 as my default image viewer. When MSAS
Real-Time Protection is enabled the AcdSee loads and
shows images noticable slower.

Any ideas how to prevent this issue?

p.s. XP Pro SP2

Do you have ACDSEE running in your startup folder or in
the taskbar?

If so, remove it..and just open the program when you need
it.

I do so. There is no AcdSee as a running process and it
is not started on Windows startup.
I think the prbolem apears when you try to do something
by a bit more different way than Windows (or MSAS)
expect. I.e. to open JPG file using AcdSee instead of
Windows built-in Image Viewer. It is correct, but there
has to be some setting or something like that, so you'd
be able to trust another third-party applications.

btw: If I open pictures with Windows Image Viewer there
is no such behavior.

ACDSee uses about 18,440K of system memory, the Windows Image/Fax Viewer
none or not traceable (by me).
On my system with 1GByte ACDSee is also slightly slower.
How much memory does your system have?

I use an old version - AcdSee32 2.41 so there is a bit
difference ;)
AcdSee: ~7M
Win Image Viewer: ~5M
The problem is not in AcdSee I'm sure. See my post from

btw RAM: 1G
