Real-Time Protection Doesnt Work

I have MS Anti-Spy on my laptop and the Real-Time
Protection doesnt work. I goto the Real-Time Protection and
I cant enable it... It works on my Desktop though.... So
can anyone help me?
 
What other software runs all the time on the laptop--in particular, what
antivirus or security-related software?

You might also want to do an antivirus scan with current antivirus
definitions.
