Two things are not clear...

What program are you using to create
the CD? PhotoStory? Which version?

And how do you plan to play it? On your
computer? In a DVD player?

I'm thinking what you need to create is
a VCD.

If you have a burner, you may have software
capable of doing this. Check the help files
for VCD.

Most DVD players will play a VCD.

If all else fails...the trial version of the
following program has the capability to
create a slide show and burn a VCD.

I have tried photostory 2, and 3. have also tried windows movie maker, with
the same problem. my program for burning cd's, is SONIC "record now", version
6.me e drive info for my PC is, Sony CD-RW CRX215E5. am sure i must be doing
something wrong, but do not know what. am not familiar with the differenc
between cd, and vcd. is it a program, or a certain disc, like cd-r, and
cd-rw? i have numerous of pics of my "great" grandchildren, and want to make
something that will play on the kids tv, using a dvd player. hope i am not
making things more confusing. i have 62 MB of free space on my computer. i
also turn screensaver, anti virus, and firewall off when i try this.
appreciate your help. thanks Jimmy

The free versions of PhotoStory 2 and 3
cannot create a VCD. A VCD is created
on a CD-R or CD-RW and becomes a
Video CD.

If you had MS Plus! Digital Media Edition
or Microsoft Digital Image Suite...you would
have a version of Photo Story that has the
option to create a VCD.

Some DVD players have a JPEG option
which means all you have to do is copy the
image files to the CD and the player will
display them. Beyond that...Most DVD
players will recognize a VCD.

I have no experience with Sonic RecordNow 6
but the following article indicates that you
would need Sonic RecordNow *Deluxe* 6
in order to create slideshows and videos on CDs.

62 MB of Hard drive space is very little...
I'm surprised you can even work with
video. A hard drive that is 50% free is
more efficient.

As I previously mentioned, the following
program has an option to create a VCD and
the trial is fully functional for 30 days. Only
problem is, if you only have 62MB of free
space you may not be able to install and
run the program.
