I have real player, windows xp and a laptop micron pc. I was listening to a
streaming video, but the sound kept cutting out. I would hear a few seconds
of sound, pause and the thing would pick up where it left off. I am a blind
computer user so please give me keyboard shortcuts to remedy my problem. I
am going to be taking an internet class in a few days and need your
assistance. Thanks.

You need to give us the specs of your PC and how you're using the internet -
by phone modem or broadband.

Streaming audio (and video for that matter) needs to be buffered by your
PC - a certain amount of the signal is held in memory incase of pauses. If
your internet connection isn't rapid, this buffereing takes place every so
often, hence the pausing you talk of. Unfortunately the only solution is to
get broadband (ADSL, for example).

Cheers,
Jerry
