Ready to secure my database

I'm ready to secure my database that I've developed to be used by about 10
read-only users, 5 wtih limited rights, and 2 with full rights. What is the
best way to secure this type of a database? I'm using Access 2003.

I will be splitting the database to ensure the tables are secure, and I used
the security wizard to set up permissions for different people. However, I'm
not sure if that is the best way to secure everything. I don't need a high
level of security, just enough to keep people from inadvertently deleting or
changing data.

Also, one other question, how do I backup my database with the security
added to it? When I backup the file, it is still linked to the original
database file. I'm not sure how to change that.

Thanks!

You have some reading to do! :)

Download the FAQ for Access security, there's a link to it on my web site.
Make sure you work on a copy of your files when learning security. Better
yet, work on a dummy file. It's extremely easy to lock yourself out.

Be aware that the FAQ has no filler material, you need to study it all and
follow ALL steps in the order stated, omitting nothing, no matter how
trivial it might seem.
