Software on pre-order for delivery tomorrow...
All disks scanned for ALL viruses and adware and found perfectly clean....
Drivers for all peripherals located on the internet, and stored on at least
two different media (in case one doesn't work)....
Everything backed up with Acronis trueimage in case of disaster - backups in
at least two locations in case of fire...
Vista ready software run, and all non-compatible software uninstalled...
All drives defragmented and in perfect condition...
All pigs fed and ready to fly...

You didn't notice the 'pigs may fly' reference then...

Anyway, it's all done now, and working reasonably well. I did get one BSOD
which was a bit disappointing, but now it's just a case of getting the
software installed!
