readonly usb stick showing up as cdrom drive

Hello I recently got a usb stick. When i plug it to my machine it
shows as two devices. One is a 345mb usb stick, the other is a cdrom
155mb. I am able to format the 345mb drive but not the 155 mb cdrom
drive. Is there a way to format the whole stick into one? Thanks.

Is the flash device equipped with U3 software ?

Go to the flash device maker, and see if they have
a tool like this one.

"U3 Launchpad Removal Tool"
