Somewhere I have toggled something that is slighyly irritating. When I
read this newsgroup the text runs over into the advertising on the
right side of the window. I had this problem before but do not remember
what I did to solve it. Can one of you gurus point me in the right
direction. No, I haven't searched the help desk etc.

Ralphael -

How are you accessing this group? I use Outlook Express so I don't have ads.
;-)

As JoAnn points out, if you use an NNTP newsreader such as Outlook Express,
you have no ads (and avoid a lot of other irritations as well). See

I think you can click on View | Text Size and set the text to a
smaller size to straighten that out.

Hi Raphael,

It appears that you're reading the group through the 'Groups' link on http://google.com. You may want to try this link
news://msnews.microsoft.com
to lanuch Outlook Express to read the newsgroups without ads, although if you're using an AOL software package there may be a
different behavior involved.

Thanks Bob and others for the advice but unfortunately Outlook Express
is not an option for me.

Probably on the far side of a company Network.

As far as I know I have never used Outlook, do not know how to access
Outlook and do not see the need for it. I have far too much computer
stuff to try and remember and realize that if I do not use something at
least monthly it is history. I need all the help I can get.

Ralphael, the OLD one.

Outlook is a different critter from Outlook Express. Depending on what your
ISP has set up, you may even find you like Outlook Express better,
especially if you participate in the newsgroups.

As JoAnn has said, Outlook Express is not part of Outlook. It is part of
Microsoft Internet Explorer. See http://www.gmayor.com/MSNews.htm or

Just goes to show you how coumpter stupid I am. I have been in this
world four years, before that it was a Commodore world for me. Very
little memory, no windows, no URLs, no Excel, Word or Outlook Express
or otherwise. Zero spam.

Ralphael, the OLD one......like it says OLD...

Unfortunately we can't always stay planted in the halcyon days of
computer-yore. :-(
