Reading pain

Why do my outlook reading pane options in "junk" and "deleted" change from
"off" to something else each time I access my mail by outlook web access?
I am really getting tired of switching off the preview pane, waiting for
some autoload virus to take control. Do I have to reconsider my company's
Microsoft strategy and go for something else?

The Reading Pane in Outlook is safe to use as it does not allow code to be
executed in there. Also all self executing files are not (directly)
accessible in Outlook so no worries there either. Just use it and enjoy the
benefit of not having to open each and every mail to read it :-)

The reading pane is enabled universally, not by view. If you turn it on in
one folder, it's on for all. It's safe to use, especially if your company
uses AV/Antispam software on the server. (And if they don't, they're
negligent.)

Well, this seems to be mostly true, but even if you have the reading pane on
it will disappear if you switch to the Drafts folder. It would be very
helpful to me if this were changed. I know I couldn't edit the document in
the Reading pane, but it would help me choose the right document to open,
especially when I have multiple drafts without subject lines.
