Dear people,

It is me again, I forgot another question. Suppose I would buy a Canon MPC
200 all-in-one, which has slots for memory cards. Would it be possible to
read files that are on that card into the computer? Even if they are not
pictures (the intention is to use those cards as a transportmedium without
having to buy a separate cardreader, if possible off course)?

Thank You!

Rene

On my Epsons the card reader shows up as a removable hard drive so I can
transfer files back and forth.

One of the magazines has a similar question answer, this case using a
camera. Generally, these cards show up as an extra drive letter in
Windows. You can generally use them for most any file, at the expense of
available space for pictures, of course. You may want to experiment with
unimportant files first, just in case some oddball equipment or driver
decides to delete or mangle something.

Cardreaders are getting cheaper. I'd get one and not worry about
whether the printer can read them from to the PC.

Since the computer sees the card reader in the printer as a removable hard
drive there won't be a problem. I write files to mine all the time this
way. Much easier than even a card reader. I also take the card to other
computers and don't have a problem.
