Hello,

I have installed linux in my 250 GB WD, and I have Windows XP in the
other one.
I wanted to move some files from linux to windows and I downloaded
explore2fs.
But it doesn't find anything, and when I try to access the disk from
windows it says that it must be formated.
If I do that will it erase linux from the disk? What should I do?!

Thanks a lot for your time! :-)

Are you actually able to boot that linux? and did you let the installer put grub
on the MBR of hda?

explore2fs isn't what you want for moving files.
But it doesn't find anything,

It should if you really have linux installed on an ext2 or ext3 file system.
and when I try to access the disk from
windows it says that it must be formated.

That's just Microsoft and Windows pretending that the rest of the world doesn't
exist. It's a meaningless message because windows refuses to recognize ext2 &
ext3 filesystems.

You really need to be in a linux newsgroup, not a hardware newsgroup. Search for
newsgroups with the word linux in them. You also need to do a lot more reading
about filesystems and linux. Google should give you some help with that.

When i used vista two years ago when it was called longhorn i could assess
linux from it. Any way why don't you boot into linux and copy the files to a
windows partition. If you want to move files from linux to windows.

You need a windows partition with windows on it the a fat32 partition then a
linux partition so when you boot into linux you can copy files to the fat32
partition then boot into windows open the d drive from windows and there
are the files you want

[hint] You're responding to the wrong party

And that will help him because?
