Hi All,

I need to update an XPE Image, but I dont have more my applications in the
old version that I need. But, I still have the ISO file, created with the
HD2ISO app. But, when I try to open it, using WinRAR for example, I get an
empty folder.
I know that this is a feature, because I can't read the content of a CD
created with this image, but I have to get these old files. Anybody knows a
way to do that ?

Thanks in advance,

Fabio Gianzanti (desperate...)

There are 3rd party utilities out there to do that. I believe I've used a
program called "MagicISO" before to extract files from ISO files.

Hi Gianzanti,

You can install El-torito driver from XPe on your XPP. And you can use one of third party programs to mount ISO file as CD drive,
will litle luck you should be able to access El-torito content as it were HDD on your computer.

Thanks Gordon,

I tried this application, but it does the same as WinRar, open an empty
folder.. probably because it doesn't understand the format created by HD2ISO
....

Thanks anyway,

Fabio

Thanks Slobodan,

but, any chances to you give me some tips to install it ? I'm completely on
the dark ...

Thanks in advance,

Fabio

Hi Gianzanti,

Find filed called "eltorito.inf" and "eltorito.sys" and use Add Hardware wizard to force instalation of that driver.
After you do that and when you put El-torito CD in CD-Drive you should be able to see it as HDD if not reboot computer and it should
work.
When you make this work Virtual CDs exposed should work is same way.
