Sarah

Hello,

I'm trying to save the spreadsheet, but it's giving me a
read-only error. It is a shared file. When someone else
looks in to see who is logged into the spreadsheet, my
name doesn't appear.

Please help!

Thanks!!

Sarah.

I have same issue.
One of my users computer was upgraded to Office 2003 from
Office 2000. Network drive is on Netware server. We had
no problem with Office 2000. The user is able to save any
other form of document such as Word, Access, etc.., He is
not able to save new Excel document, he can open existing
document and change it and save the changes to the nework
share. He has the full access rights.
I am cratching my head now..,

Steve,

sounds like you have access to the shared resource
restricted to "read-only" status.... You have two
options...
Call the network Administrator and have them grant
you "write" persmissions to that network share AND/OR
Save the Excel sheet to your local hard drive OR to a
network resource where you have permission inclusive of
saving docs. You can use the same name, you are just
switching the location.
