read-only files

Is there a way to copy photo files to a cd without them being read-only? I have been using the CD writing wizard but can't figure out how to do this. My objective is to be able to copy them to CD directly from the compact flash card and then be able to edit or delete them from the CD.
 
You have to use software other than XP's built in software. Nero has the
feature you want. You have to use special software to format the cd to use
it like a floppy. With Nero it is called INCD.
