Our office recently upgraded to Winows XP and some of our
templates are Read-Only. We have tried to use them to
print mass letters, but they will not print. Can we
correct the template or do we need to contact our people
who downloaded the program to our server??

You don't really give enough info to know, e.g. for what program are
these templates, what is the error message? etc.

To remove read-only, right mouse click on the template files, then
change their properties to remove the read-only property.

I'm puzzled by your last comment "contact the people who downloaded the
program to our server". This implies something other than a simple
upgrade to Windows XP.

Given that someone else changed something, and after the change someone
was broken ... for sure contact them. They know what they did,
hopefully, and will hopefully have some insight to help you fix this
problem.

It may not be that simply the templates are "read-only". My hunch is
that something else going on (What is the "program", why don't read-only
templates not work? something wrong with printer? permissions incorrect?)

Contact them.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
