Read-Only Database!

Dear Reader,

I created a database in Access 2007 and shared it over the network, however
I am the only one supposed to update, modify and change database and would
like just others just to read the database; how can I make the database
read-only on the network and be able to change it on my end? Please help.

The easiest way would be to use file permissions to grant read only access
to the mdb file.

Just a comment, Keith. The OP stated that this was Access 2007. If the file
is in ACCDB format, then Security isn't an option.

upgraded it to sp3, I didn't use it much so it took me a while to realize
Windows XP sp3 doesn't have security in the file properties window
anymore.

That just goes to show how much I use it too because I could have sworn it
was there but I have no way to check here. I thought that it was there
provided that the "simple file sharing" option was off.
