read .AVI file

one .avi file can't play the video, only sounds
codec not found by any prog.
It's div3 (divx / MPEG4 v 3)
Any good advice welcome

His advice about codec packs and ffdshow is valid. Besides the Microsoft
codecs automatically downloaded by WMP, the only video codec I have
installed is ffdshow, and I haven't met an avi file I couldn't play in a
very long time.
