I am having some problems trying to understand the read and delivery receipt confirmation. I have both boxes checked under the Tools>Options>E-Mail Options>Tracking. The very first time after I had both boxes checked I sent two e-mails and I received both a delivery and a read confirmation for both emails. The second time I sent the same exact persons another email I did not receive anything. In the past few weeks I have sent a few emails and I have only received two confirmations out of ten that the people have read and received my emails. I am confused as to why it works sometimes and not all the time. What really confuses me is why it worked the very first time to the two that I sent to but not again after I have tried the same address (and I have tried it a couple more times since and it still hasn't worked). I know that this a rather long question but I am so confused. I don't understand much about servers and such but am hoping that someone can give me some insight as to how to correct this problem.
I thought that I had an understanding of things when I read that it all depends upon the receivers server but it still poses a question back to my first two emails as to why it worked the first time on their server but not the second or subsequent times. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
