about 3 years ago I upgraded my motherboard and had xp installed. A few
months ago the motherboard had to be replaced because it didn't work anymore.
After I replaced it with another board I've been asked to reactivate my
windows because it has detected changes in my hardware configuration (or
something like that). It asks me to put my disks in, but I don't have any
disks. What am I supposed to do? Is my copy illegal? I have no receipts or
anything to prove otherwise. Thanks

You should have gotten a Windows XP installation disk when you had XP
installed 3 years ago.

You probably need to contact the source where you obtained your
Windows XP and discuss the situation with them.

Good luck
