Installed Kazaa Lite Mega Codec Pack and after installing it I get the

Nobody has a suggestion ????????

Yes. Stay away from these "all-in-one" codec packs, and *only* install the
specific codec(s) that you actually need.

Solution

I know this is an old thread but i had the same problem but have fixed it and hope someone else can benefit from my solution.

Actually it can be one of two problems that K-Lite codec packs creates. The first is with a filter and the second with the webcam protocol h.261.

The first can be solved by running the K-Lite Mega Codec pack tweak tool - manage installed codecs and filters.Once it has opened select "disable the following active filters" select ffdshow to disable it.

The second problem is with a black screen even once the above has been completed - To sort this proceed to the next screen on the tweak tool - select "VFW & ACM codecs that belong to windows" - disable the microsoft h.261 filter and that should sort the black screen problem.

Just registered to answer this.

You don't have to uninstall or disable the great FFdshow. You just need to set Raw video under Codecs to disabled (which is the default anyway and it is meant for special uses).

Just tested that; camera doesn't work with Raw video on all supported, works with Raw video on disabled.

Installed latest version of K-lite 6.30
Tried that and it doesnt work with all webcams.
My main usb webcam still doesnt work with that only works with the disable codec solution.

FFDshowis great but it does have drawbacks!
