re update problem

hello there Is there anyone than can help me with a
problem that has arisen with windows update the last 8
days windows update comes on automatically and downloads
the same updates this is annoying me somewhat what is
the reason this occurs and is there anything i can do to
stop the automatic updates from taking place if you can
help i would be most thankful tony
 
You can turn off Automatic Updates if you want to (Control Panel, System,
Automatic Updates tab). In a lot of cases, uninstalling the update that is
being reoffered and then reinstalling will stop the problem. Which updates
are being reoffered to you?
