RE Task Manager Disappears-still a problem

When I select Task Manager it comes on the screen and then after a second or
two disappears. the same happened with REGEDIT.
Bruce Chambers advised me to check for worms: Klez Yaha and Spybot.

I have carried out the procedures suggested by the Semantic website for
removal of these worms and now REGEDIT works fine but Task Manager still
disappears after two seconds

any further advice or suggestions would be appreciated
