re setting my computer

i am not very computer literate and my internet home page has been taken over
by a supposed internet security company and it wont allow me to reset my home
page. every time i click home it takes me to this companys site and despite
asking my computer to change my home page it still goes back to this site.
how can i stop this???

Download and run antispyware programs updated with the latest definitions.
Repost with the results of any scans if you need help getting rid of the
infection. Without knowing what the infection is no one can tell you how to
get rid of it. Hijackthis is a program that will give a log of everything
running on the computer. You can post it to certain online forums and get
more help if needed. Run all these antispyware programs and the online
antivirus multiscan. Make sure you have one antivirus program installed.

Some of these can be difficult to ferret out. You might try a google search
for the the name of the site and then look fo references to "spyware" in the
