I use an XP machine to connect to other machines on my network. I have
an icon to a mapped network drive on my desktop. Typically, opening
the drive after a fresh re-boot leads to a log-in screen, I provide my
credentials, and, voila, the Windows Explorer appears on that drive.
At times after going through this process, I find I need to open the
Explorer on the network drive again. However, this time I'm told that
the network drive is unavailable. Re-booting the XP machine solves the
problem but there must surely be a way of re-setting the connection
without having to resort to a re-boot?
Any info on what I should do instead in this situation would be
appreciated.
TIA,
David
