How do i tell how much of the 512mb of ram my computer
is currently using?
As much as it wants or needs to.
RAM exists to be used and the Memory Manager will always attempt to
find some use, anything that might be potentially beneficial, for
every bit of the installed RAM rather than just letting it sit there
idly going to rot.
And just as soon as some better use comes along for any part of that
RAM the Memory Manager will instantaneously drop the more trivial
usages so as to free up whatever is required.
Unused memory should really be referred to as *useless memory* because
that is what it actually is - memory for which Windows has as yet been
totally unable to find any use for.
Hope this clarifies the situation.
Good luck
