Just saying it does not work any longer, does not give us anything to work with.
Do you get any error message? Exactly what steps do you do? What exactly are the results of these
steps?
Beside the keyboard swap, what steps have you taken?

I cannot seem to get the printscreen function to work any longer. It seemed to stop working the
other day after an update....hmmm.

i checked by swapping keyboards- same issue- does not seem to be a defective keyboard- seems to be
system related.

Win XP, SP3

Any ideas?

Thanks

there was nothing in the clipboard, though text can be cut and pasted in
text applications- no pictures seem to be copyable.

Actions:

1: I shut down everything in the system tray that was running in the
background: no effect.

2: I shut all applications and rebooted. Now it works. I suspect that my
daughter had WinDVD active- and it may have had something to do with the
problem. I will try to recreate the problem..

Thanks

In control panel--add/remove--windows options---accessories--do you have
clipboard viewer selected?

See if this helps:

1. Open the 'Control Panel' and click 'DirectX'.
2. Select the 'DirectDraw' tab.
3. Check the box "Enable PrintScreen Key"
4. Apply, OK.

There's no DirectX app in my XP control panel.

You mean an ad you saw on mediafire.com?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with that site, it's just a file sharing
site. The best one I've found, too. Free, simple, fast.

Anyway, no I did not attend Villanova University. I don't even know
where it is. Where is it?

Did the DirectX control panel file work? Is the print screen key working?

Yes, it was a mediafire.com ad. Villanova University is located in
Villanova, Pa. If that's not helpful enough it's near Philadelphia. It's
the first time I ever saw an ad online for the school.

Yes, the DirectX control panel file installed fine. My print screen key
was working properly. My only concern was that I didn't have the directx
cpl file on my system.

Thanks for the reference to mediafire. I'll keep the site in mind.
