Pamela G.

I have IE 6.0.2800.1106 on a newer EMachines laptop. (Athlon chip, large hd,
lots ram, running WinXPHome)
Just recently I started
having a problem with my favorites list. It has begun to show an "older"
list sometimes, and the current one other times. (minor changes, but obvious
ones mostly involving changes I made a few weeks ago both deleting some
entries and adding others) I have not been able to see any pattern to which
list shows up when. Nor have I found any answers on the MS knowledge base or
a few MVP sites I checked. Any suggestions or solutions here?

Thanks
Pamela

Hi Pamela :-)

Try the following and see if it helps.

To empty your Temporary Internet Files cache
1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
2. On the General tab, click Delete Files.

To turn off graphic compression in the AOL client
1. Go to Preferences in AOL.
2. Click Internet properties (or WWW in some versions).
3. Click Web Graphics.
4. Clear Never compress graphics (or Use compressed graphics in some
versions).

or .........................................

Clear the IE cache. I.E./Tools/Options/General/Delete files (and delete
offline content.) It's often recommended that the Temporary Internet Files
(folder) be kept at
40-50 MB. Bigger isn't necessarily better.
If still no joy then have a look at this page for other issues.

Hope this helps.
