The following is a description of my MB and Bios Settings:
Asus A7N8X Deluxe
AMD 2600 Barton CPU 333Mhz FSB (Says on box that it runs at 1.917Mhz)
DDR TwinX512-3200LLPT 400Mhz (512 total)
Ati Radeon AGP 4X 32Mb Video
Bios Settings:
cpu external frequency 100mhz
cpu frequency multi setting auto
cpu multiplier 11.5
System performance optimal
Memory frequency Auto
FSP spread spectrum .50%
AGP Spread spectrum disabled
CPU Vcore Setting Auto
CPU Vcore 1.696
Operating paramiters:
mb temp 77 F
cpu temp 102 F
Vcore 1.69v
All that i want to do is make the new mb and processor run at the speeds
listed on the product packages ( CPU 333 FSB and operate at 1.917 Mhz).
I tried to do this before and changed (in he bios) the cpu freq to 200 and
upped the Vcore voltage to 1.85 ----BAAAD MISTAKE...Comp no longer would eve
access the Bios or boot. ended up taking it back to Fry's in Houston and
they replaced ti because they could not fix it either. Any ideas or advise
on how or what i should do to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Curtis
