re-organise my pictures

i have windows xp with sp2. is it possible to rename some 250 pictures all
together and add numbers to them, for example; holiday 1, holiday 2, holiday
3 etc, in preference to doing this individually, or is there some software
that will do this for me.

Yes I sent Papajohn the file and he incorporated it at his web site.
So all we have to do now is just refer to his site.

Maybe that indicates that it's time to put together a FAQ for this
group. It seems that a very high fraction of queries would be
covered by about a dozen FAQ entries...

I also need your help on giving a title to a batch of .JPG in XP. I saw
your posts and follow your direction by select a group of JPG, file,
property, summary, advance, then I left click on the Title, the text
box doesn't appear. I tried it on different XP box.
2000 Box works fine.
