Right then, Gurus,
You know when you "find album info" in Windows Media Player, and then
update the album, the program re-organises the music files into folders
such as My Music\Artist\Album?
Well, I recently killed an external hard drive, but managed to recover
all the photo files using file recovery software. All the files are as
they were, but they are all named Recovered File #1, ...#2 etc.
All the original attributes are still there, such as, camera model,
date taken, etc.
I originally had all my photos in folders named for the date they were
taken, so all photos taken on 2nd January 2005 are in the folder
2005-01-02 (this way all the folders come in numerical and date order).
I would like to put all these recovered files into folders as I had
them before, but with over 10,000 photos, were I to do this by hand, it
would take ages. Is there a workaround I can use, or a little piece of
software I can download which would allow me to organise files into
folders according to their attributes?
Talk soon!!
