I have the same problem.
I am running HP laptop ze5385us with OS XP PRO.
I have been running the broadband network access ad when
I tried to use the modem it is greyed out.
Modem drivers are correct and the MS diag can dial out on
the modem plus the MSN fax set up works.
When I run a modem dialer appl it errors out with malloc
rasenumdevices error. This is a visual basic error. I am
talking to a HP tech but he is stuck on saying it is a
driver problem. I do not think so.
