Actually found a better method.
Use the rmtshare.exe tool from the NT4 Resource Kit, this is what I ended up using as I had all my shares and users already in a spreadsheet, so simply used some cell forumulas to create the rmtshare command string for each share and worked perfect.
Cheers!

Great. I don't know if you're aware of this, but you can actually map a
drive directly to a folder beneath a share as long as your clients are all
Windows 2000 or above.

This makes it much easier, as you can script NTFS permissions and then just
share the root of the users folder and then map to
\\myserver\users\%username%

Hope this helps

available to modify already created share permissions for specific users in
bulk?users. The Administrators group has full control to the share and the user
has read access to their home folder share and I'd like to find either a
script/batch file, or utility that is able to give each user change rights
for their own account to that share.
