Re-mapping inserted videos

Hello; Using Powerpoint XP, I have inserted 40 or 50 video clips into a
powerpoint presentation. They work fine on the 'author' computer, but now
that I have moved the entire folder to another computer, the videos no
longer play. It appears to be a file mapping exercise; relative versus
absolute. (The .ppt and all the video files are in the same folder.)

I'd rather not go through the entire presentation to re-insert all those
clips. Is there some way of using a "Find & Replace" tool to modify the
presentation so powerpoint can find the new video locations?

(does this make sense? do I need to post more details?)

Thank you.

Thanks for your suggestions, Echo. Nice website you've got there.

I tried the FixLinks Pro, but priced at $70 US, it's a very expensive fix,
and the demo version doesn't do video clips.

Muchly appreciated.

Were the video files in the folder with the presentation before you
inserted them into the presentation? If so, then you may not be seeing
broken links.

But you might check http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00155.htm There's
a link to FixLinks Pro, which should fix you right up.
