the only thing I can think of that would prevent the overlap and gap
working would be blank cells in your data range (plotted with empty bars).
Are you plotting how many dates you have on fridays?

My X axis is friday dates, and my Y is quantity. I have
used the OPTION feature overlap and gap, but the bars are
still very thin, and there is alot of room between the
bars. Is there any other way to make the bars thicker??
