re-installing XP

My PC has become very sluggish and has a few errors.
I would like to re-install Windows XP and start afresh.
Will I have problems when trying to re-activate it?

I've only had a video card added to the PC since I bought it

True, however, a fresh install can never hurt anything. Run Belarc Advisor
to get a complete inventory of your current system and see what yo uare
actually using versus what is installed.

No, but there is absolutely no point in doing it when other methods may well
cure the problem...unless it's a rainy Sunday afternoon and you haven't
anything better to do...
