Computer was totally infected with viruses, so my son reinstalled windows
xp.
We have original cd, that came with new gateway...but have no idea where
registration code is.
Have system restoration CD ver 19.7, gateway drivers, green booklet; but not
code.
Can someone help me?
Suggestions?

The code is usually stuck to the side of the PC. If it is not,
ask the Gateway helpdesk. When finished, install and
maintain a good virus scanner.

You really mean you need the activation code. Look on the outside of the
computer case for a sticker that has the Product Code necessary to reinstall
the system to it's original state. If you do use the Gateway restore
procedure, it is doubtfull you will even need to input the product code from
the case sticker.
Go to the Gateway web site and look for the manual specific to your Gateway
system. I will detail all the procedures necessary to restore your system.
