re-installing XP

OK try to make it short: Big bad Virus on my computer tried everything except
for re-installing. I had a recovery/ install disk. And decided to go for it.
Well I get to the very end of installation and realize that I need product
Key and Can't find anywhere. So I decided to try and go back to the "last
known good configuration". and it starts back to where I need to install
product key? Every time I re-boot "finishing installation" Looked around the
web and found that I can boot from Floppys! Went all the way through
installing and it asked me to insert a CD-ROM? I put the one I had in there
and of course it did not work. I've re-booted I don't know how many times now
and seems like i've tried everything
anyone got any suggestions. Thanks Boot This!

Look through the newsgroup archives, retrieving your key has been answered
in the past. And a search engine can help too.
