My Win 2000 Pro will not re-install from my CD. The
installation routine quits with a message that informs me
I have more than one OS installed on the disk. I have my
original Win 98 (OEM install) and my own Win 2K upgrade
install. These have co-existed fine for 3+ yrs.
Yesterday my Win 2K had a registry problem and I was
unsuccessful fixing that. The Win 2K OS will not boot,
despite me running Scandisk and mcAfee VirusScan and
coming up clean. I can boot Win 98 and see all my files,
both user files and system files. All look A-OK. But I
cannot boot from my Win 2K CD. Can't get past
the "Setup ... hw configuration" message to the actual
setup screen. (I boot OK from my OEM's Win 09 recovery
screen.) I am willing to re-install Win 2K now. Any
ideas out there?
