I recently acquired a retired laptop from work. It's got Windows 2000,
and I want to reinstall the OS so there is only one admin account, no
password to startup etc., and I have the 4 boot disks, but not the Win
2000 CD.
I was finally able to reset the BIOS to boot from Disk, but when I try
and reinstall with the boot disk in the A: drive I get a non system
disk error, and cannot continue until I "replace" it, and then it loads
Windows like normal.
I want to format the drive and just reinstall Win 2000, but cannot load
from the disks.
What to do?
Thanks
