I have outlook 2003 on my exsisting laptop and want to
bring over the pst and archive files to my new laptop.
The method I was thinking of using was to install Outlook
2003 on the new laptop and then copy the old pst file
into the outlook folder overwriting the new pst file that
was created when I installed the Outlook program. I was
also going to copy the archive file over to the folder as
well.
Would this method be a good method or would there be a
better method?
My other concern is that my exsisting pst file is 327 meg
and my archive file is 123 meg. These are quite large and
I wanted to know if there is a way to reduce the size of
these data files without deleting information within the
data files. I tried using the compact files tool but it
did not change the file size in any way, which surprised
me because I thought that was what it was supposed to do.
I appreciate any assistance with this.
