I have been using Frontpage 2000 for over 12 months to
construct the fortnightly Coober Pedy News,
(http://www.cooberpedynews.com.au) so I have many files on
my hard drive. I have recently found that when I try to
open files in the folder that I upload from to my host,
Frontpage 2000 will highlight the file but when I click
on "open" it freezes everything including the start button
in the taskbar, and I have to press the reset button and
start all over again.
I'm thinking I will have to reload the Frontpage 2000 CD
to fix this, but will I lose the files of the 37
fortnightly issues of the Coober Pedy News that are on my
hard drive?

Search for the hidden .web file using Start Menu | Find Files, delete the FP
Temp folder under Windows Temp, clear your recycle bin.

Any if you have run Scandisk or defrag in a while now is a good time.

Note: Re-install FP will not delete any files, however it may force you to
do a complete publish, the next time you publish.

Similar problem to me...

I want to rebuild my machine, but it means I have to
republish my webs.

Where will I find the "publication history" so I donot
have to republish all my webs again as "new". Some webs
are over 20mbs.

Eddie

You will have to republish.
