Re-installing from free-trial CD

I obtained FP2000 3+ years ago as part of a 45-day free
trial offer. As I recollect it, one could use FP2000 on a
trial basis for up to 45 days free of charge. To use it
beyond that period, one had to contact MS, pay a fee, and
have the software activated on a permanent basis, which I
did. I had forgotten how I bought FP2000 until I bought a
new PC, went to install FP2000, and saw "45-day Trial"
writ large across the CD. How can I re-install FP2000 and
not have it have a 45-day lifetime? (Frankly, I do not
recall how MS activated the software once I had purchased
it, but I do not recall their having sent a second CD.)

MS did not have online or phone activation of Trial versions for FP 2000
(or any MSO 2000 /2002 products), unless you are under a bulk license plan
- it's a new feature they are just now introducing w/ FP 2003

| When I contacted Support, I was required to enter the
| Product ID. No problem: I opened FrontPage, selected Help,
| About MicroSoft FrontPage, and there it was. I entered the
| number and, voila! I get a message informing me that the
| product code I have entered is not supported in the
| country I have selected (United States)! I check the
| number for typos, and then check it again. It is correct.
| I check the package in which the software came. It has a
| return address of Seattle, which, last time I checked, was
| in the United States. The Contact Support template will
| not allow me to proceed. Ah, those jokesters at MicroSoft!
