Hi. Could someone please explain how to format my c drive
and re-install Windows XP (home ed.)? Many thanks.

Freilich,

I can only answer half of your problem. To format you
hard drive go to the DOS prompt (click start go to the
run prompt and type "cmd" . This will put you at the
command prompt ie c:documents and setting......bla bla.
Type cd\ (change directory) and you get the C:\ prompt.
From here type "format C: and it will ask do you really
want do this...and you say "y". As far as the
installation of windows I could not give you a good
answer. When you do get a good answer as to how to
reinstall could you e-mail me with your explanation

Greetings --

Simply boot from the WinXP installation CD. You'll be offered the
opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of the
installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of boot
devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)
