Re-Install Vista rather than hunt down malware?

The time is at hand to get down to business about malware/spyware recovery.
If I chose to format and re-install my software rather than spend 20 hrs trying to scan, re-scan and hopefully remove any bugs,
Is Microsoft going to drag me through the CD-Key fire coals?

I say this because with ultimate I would expect the service to be just so.
Despite all of the malware/spyware & viruses out there security claims to be improved against, no one is 100% safe anymore.
I have seen some truly nasty bugs the past few weeks that would literally destroy any chance of productivity until removed.
The fastest and most economic way is a complete format, hands down.
There is not a scanning utility in existence that could economically locate and destroy these in the same amount of time a format can.
Not one AV company nor Microsoft is willing to foot the bill for systems exposed like this for any reasonable operating cost.
These bugs are out there and more on the way I am sure in the years ahead.
I really want Microsoft to pony up about this bullshit marketing charge for a new CD-Key.
For a CD-Key system that is in no way improved over years past.
I have been through it once already, and it was miserable.
I don't in any way see it being worthwhile for Microsoft's customers nor their employees.

You may have to call. You may not!

Is it still foreigners answering the call reading this to me vocally rather than sending me it in text?
Foreign accents are sexy but useless in communicating something that isn't speech to begin with.

You may have to call. You may not!

What is foreign to one is local to another.
If you have trouble understanding the person, politely hang up and try
again.
I have known people that have had to do that long before support was
sent to other countries.
Hopefully you do not automatically assume a different accent is from
another country.
Many countries have diverse cultures with differing accents without
having to cross any international borders.

In any case, if you have to call, it usually takes less than 10
minutes.

That is literally a bullshit response to call again and further waste my damned time.
Microsoft needs to address this problem period.
I could write an app to handle it in 2 days or buy one in a few minutes and implement it.
It has been 6 months for this to be addressed, if I get billed for $10 I'll call the bank and have it relocated to bank fraud.
