After the slightest trouble with windows2000 and in that I include the MS
updates, I am forced to re-install Office before I do a search using explorer or
click on empty part of screen and then hit F3.
The message is "this feature is not available" and "you need to make the MS
Office available" as well as I can remember.
The machine goes through the first part of installing and then stops. There is
no way out except to place the disk in the drive and let it go on it merry way.
Even restoring using Acronis mirror is no use as far as Office is concerned. I
must admit that I have never tried to call on word or other items in Office
before I do a search. I never seem to remember to do this impotant test.
Anyone with similar trouble and an answer would be welcome.
