I am unable to open a website that has a chat room as a major function. It
only recently has become an issue. Otherwise IE seems to be flawless. I have
run for spy and adware and run Virus scan, always clean. I wonder if I can
uninstall and reinstall Internet explorer. I run WindowsXP.
My hotmail account can't be verified but I am logged in here using that as
my passport address. SO if there are any answers to send privately, please
use (e-mail address removed).
Otherwise I will read here. Thank you.

Hi Dan :-)

I don't think that your having trouble accessing just one website indicates
an overall problem with IE that would warrant a reinstall, although, you
could repair.

A few more details would provide more insight and aid in finding a solution.
What happens when you try to open the site? Do you get any error messages?
If so, what do they say (as exact as possible will help)? Did you install or
uninstall anything prior the onset of the problem? If so, what?

Try adding the site to your Trusted Zone.

Also, download, install and run HiJackThis according to the information
here,

then post the log here and let the experts there review your log to see if
there is still something on your system that is hidden and causing the
problem.

Like many forums, you will have to register before posting your log.

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps
