Re-install 2000 Pro

I purchased a new computer with 2000 Pro installed.

It has some glitches.

I have the software.

I DO NOT have the 25 character Product Key which is
necessary to reload it.

Microsoft says they can't supply it.

The manufacturere of my computer consistently refuses to
respond to my request (for nearly one year).

The manufacturer is a number of states away from my
location.

Can anyone help? Please!

The Windows 25-character Product Key (required to perform the
installation) is stored on the CD packaging on a bright orange sticker
that says "Do not lose this number." If it was an OEM (factory
installed) license, it's stored on a label that the PC manufacturer
affixed to the exterior of the PC case, or on the bottom of a laptop.

To recover a lost Product Key:

If it was an OEM license, you should contact whomever sold you the
OS; although very few manufacturers/vendors keep records of the
Product Keys they've sold, it's worth a try before you have to buy a
new license.

Per microsoft the company is supposed to affix a small

sticker from microsoft to the computer case, that sticker
has the product key on it. The sticker is only about 1
1/2 inches by 3/4 inches long. Good luck
