This happened to me while accessing data on a CD-ROM. I could hear the CD spin up & stop several times before this error finally occurred and a reboot was required. I would say that if that printer driver didn't fix your issue, you might want to look at and start ruling out what hardware you can to try to address your issue. I would say the majority, if not around 80-90% of BSODs are hardware-related.
