Re-formatting hard drive

I want to replace Windows XP with Windows 98 SE on one of
my computers. I want to reformat the hard drive and then
install Win98. I cannot seem to be able to reformat the
the hard drive in Win XP. Can anyone help me pleasE

Hi Ursula,

Boot from your XP CD as if you were reinstalling it.
During the initial steps where you choose a destination
to install Windows to, you will be able to delete, create,
and format the drive partitions to your liking. Do not
format using the NTFS file system though as 98 will
not be able to use it. Good luck & Hope this helps! :-)
