Re-focus when editing while zoomed

Is there any plan to "fix" the behavior that when editing a shape while
zoomed, PP re-focuses to the center of the shape after a modification? I have
just upgraded to from 2003 to 2007 and this makes PP much more difficult to
use compared to the behavior of PP 2003. Previously the focus never changed
when editing any thing when zoomed. An associated behavior that I assume
would be fixed at the same time is that if an object is deleted while zoomed
the focus moves to the center of the slide!! (very annoying).
 
I have already located and installed this hotfix and it does not fix the
problem.

Unfortunately, that's the nature of hotfixes -- they don't always work.
Hopefully, this will be rolled into a service pack -- which generally work
for a wider variety of users.
